The following information is preliminary and subject to change as the incident is currently under investigation.  Events in this press release may change as the investigation progresses.

On June 10th, 2023 at approximately 9:45 pm, Deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hayden home of Ryan Eric Galliher, and arrested him without incident, for four (4) violations of his Sex Offender Registry.   All four (4) of the violations that Galliher was arrested for, pertained to him failing to update mandatory information, as required by law.   Each violation carries a maximum penalty of ten (10) years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Galliher is a former Police Officer with the Los Angeles Police Department.  His original sex crime convictions stem from multiple incidents of him committing various lewd acts, to include repeated acts of indecent exposure in the Huntington Beach area, a city in Orange County, California.   All of these acts occurred in 2014, while off duty, but, while still actively employed with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Galliher was in court today for his First Appearance, where a Judge set his bond at $10,000.
