Kootenai County, Idaho- On April 21, 2023, the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office obtained a warrant of arrest charging Daniel C. Howard, a 57-year-old male from Athol, Idaho with the February 2, 2021 murder of his wife, Kendy Howard.
Daniel Howard surrendered himself to the Kootenai County Jail on April 21, 2023, shortly before 7:00PM. The warrant also charges Daniel Howard with domestic battery.
Sheriff Robert Norris said he is extremely proud of the work of the responding deputies and detectives who investigated the case.
Kootenai County Prosecutor Stan Mortensen reminds everyone that at this time the charges are merely accusations and Daniel Howard is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
