[ARCHIVED] KCSO Seeks Person of Interest in Homicide

Spirit Lake, Idaho:   On August 16, 2021 at approximately 7:00 PM, the Spirit Lake Police Department responded to the 4000 block of W. Delaware St. in the City of Spirit Lake, ID for a welfare check. Friends and family requested a check on Tina Swor, 56, due to not hearing from her for several days.  Spirit lake Police Officers entered the unsecured residence and located Swor deceased inside the residence.

Spirit Lake Police requested the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Detective’s Division investigate the incident.  Detectives arrived and initiated the investigation.  The preliminary investigation indicates foul play.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the whereabouts of Swor’s long time boyfriend, John D. Dalton, 55 as a person of interest.  Dalton is a white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighs 225 pounds.  He has brown hair and eyes.

Dalton was last known to be driving a black 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with Idaho license plate 7BN3581.

Dalton should be considered armed and dangerous.   If located, please call 911 or your local law enforcement agency.
