[ARCHIVED] KCSO Deputies Arrest Male Who Went on a Crime Spree in Bonner County

Athol, ID: On November 4th 2020, at around 12:45 am the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office received an agency assist call from Bonner County.  It was reported that Bonner County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle southbound on Hwy 95 approaching Kootenai County.  It was also reported the male was armed with a stolen shotgun and had burglarized several other vehicles and businesses in Bonner County.

KCSO Deputies and Idaho State Police setup at the county line with spike strips in hopes of ending the pursuit.  The driver, who was identified as Justin D. Morley, a 19 year old male from Sandpoint, Idaho, avoided the spike strips by traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Hwy 95.  Kootenai County Deputies took over the pursuit at the county line.  A short time later a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) was completed which ended the pursuit.  The driver was taken into custody without incident.

Justine Morley was charged with Felony Eluding, Grand Theft, Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.  Additionally charges out of Bonner County are pending.  Morley has no prior criminal history in Kootenai County.
