[ARCHIVED] Kootenai County Multi-Agency Swat Team Responds to an Early Morning Domestic Disturbance Call

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho: The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office arrested Seth D. Farwell -41 of Coeur d’Alene, ID for Domestic Battery and for Resisting and Obstructing Arrest. He has also been charged with the Intentional Destruction of a Telecommunications device.

This morning at about 5:50 a.m., the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 Domestic Disturbance call in the 13000 block of S. Bellgrove Rd. near Rockford Bay. Based on information previously obtained by Deputies regarding the presence and possible use of firearms, the Sheriff Office deployed the Kootenai County Multi-Agency Swat team as a precautionary measure.

Once on scene, members of the Multi-Agency Swat Team were able to quickly ensure the safety of area residents and then establish contact with Farwell. A short period of time later Farwell was safely taken into custody. Due to the somewhat remote location of the incident, and the potential for an extended deployment, additional personnel and resources were called to assist.

Thank you to the Spokane Police Department, Post Falls Police Department, Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Worley Fire District who all provided additional resources and equipment.

Due to the nature of the investigation, we do not have any further information for release at this time. Farwell’s booking photo was also not available at the time of this release.
