[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Stepping Up

Kootenai County, ID: We continues to be amazed at the great things going on in our community. Today we want to point out that so many volunteer organizations are stepping up to help including our very own Emergency Operations Center Volunteers! Just as an example the KROC Center and Salvation Army are utilizing their over 250 employees and volunteers to help support the response to COVID-19. Other groups are organizing donations and supplies. People in Kootenai County are always willing to help in a time of need and this is no different! We are so appreciative of all of the offers of help and support. Please continue to use President Trump and the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing. We will continue to measure our response to this situation and will react accordingly. As always we ask that you continue to join us in thanking all of the First Responders, Healthcare Professionals and Volunteers working tirelessly to serve and protect our great community!

Unified Commanders,

Sheriff Ben Wolfinger

Chief Chris Way
