[ARCHIVED] Two Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges

Post Falls, ID -  Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrest two for trafficking methamphetamemes during a traffic stop in the area of Pleasant View and I-90.

On November 26th at around 11:10 pm, a Deputy observed a vehicle without its headlights on and failure to use a turn signal when leaving a business. Deputy Norris and Deputy Hosea contacted the driver and passenger of the vehicle. After giving a false name during the initial contact, Deputies were able to identify the driver as Robert P. Chiefstick, who is a 45 year old male from Missoula Montana. During the contact it was learned that Chiefstick had a warrant for his arrest out of Montana. The passenger was identified as Rosalyn M. Redwood, a 36 year old female from St. Ignatius Montana.

A K-9 unit was requested and Officer Gregg and his K-9 partner from Rathdrum PD responded to assist. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating drugs were present. Deputies searched the vehicle and found approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamemes in several different bags located in the vehicle.

Due to the quantity of drugs located in the vehicle, both Chiefstick and Redwood were charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. Redwood was also booked for Frequenting and Possession of Paraphernalia. Chiefstick was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Fugitive from Justice, Possession of Paraphernalia, False Info to Police and Possession of Suboxone. Redwood is currently being held on a $50,000 bond and Chiefstick is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Neither Chiefstick nor Redwood had any prior contacts in Kootenai County.
