The Kootenai County 911 Communications Center serves as the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the County. It provides dispatch service to 14 county emergency response agencies.
When calling the Kootenai County 911 Center, a trained Emergency Communication Officer will receive your call and ask you "Where is your emergency" and offer immediate assistance. The Emergency Communication Officer will ask pertinent questions regarding the emergency, and dispatch the appropriate level of law enforcement, fire, and/or medical service to meet your immediate need.
