Jail

The Jail consists of the Custody Division and Jail Support Services Division made up of both sworn and civilian members. The Custody Division is responsible for the care and custody of incarcerated prisoners. This includes:

  • Delivery of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Delivery of meals
  • Distribution of medication
  • Ensuring appropriate housing assignments
  • Prisoner transport
  • Random prisoner and housing area searches

Services Division

The Services Division is responsible for those functions and activities that support the Jail’s main purpose, such as:

  • Classification
  • Food preparation
  • Inmate medical treatment
  • Sheriff’s Community Labor Program
  • Transport
  • Warrants
  • Work Release

Programs & Chaplain Corps

Additionally, the Services Division sustains a Programs and Chaplain Corps which is responsible for counseling of inmates and rehabilitation resources for the inmate population.
